Install and configure SQL AlwaysON AG with Listener on Azure

Adding the Listener

enable_always_on_step_55
After creating the AlwaysOn Availability Group, you should have a new Role in the Failover Cluster Manager. Right Click the Role > Add Resource > Client Access Point
enable_always_on_step_56
Give the listener a hostname. This will also be a computer AD object. Click Next
enable_always_on_step_57
See the confirmation. Click Next
enable_always_on_step_58
Click Finish
enable_always_on_step_59
Right Click IP Address: Address on Cluster Network 1 > Properties
enable_always_on_step_60
Select Static IP address and add an address within the same subnet, but different from the Cluster IP chosen previously.
enable_always_on_step_61
Bring the Role online. Right Click Name: > Bring Online
enable_always_on_step_62
The Role is now online. If this step fails or if the Name: does not come online, then you did not set the permissions correctly here: AD Delegated Permissions. If you did set the permissions properly, double check the OU. The OU with the permissions NEEDS to be the SAME OU as the cluster hostname.
enable_always_on_step_63
We need to edit a dependency, so click on the other resource > Properties
enable_always_on_step_64
Click on the Dependencies tab and ensure that the resource is the same as Name:
enable_always_on_step_65

Right click the role > Stop Role. Wait for it to stop
enable_always_on_step_66
Right click the role > Start Role. Wait for it to start
enable_always_on_step_67
Once roles have been started, you should see the Listeners on each SQL Server Availability Group.
